WHAT IS THREADYKEYCAP'S MECHANICAL KEYBOARD SLEEVE?
FUNCTION
The sleeves are designed to protect your keyboards from scratches.
How does the sleeve protect your keyboard?
Padding
- The sleeve is made up of 3 layers: (1) the external pattern fabric; (2) a light padding; and (3) an inner padded lining fabric. In total, it has 2 layers of light cushion.
- These cushions are not thick enough to protect your keyboard when you drop them (especially if you have heavy metal keyboards). However, they are sufficient to protect your keyboard from the keys, paper clips, sanitisers or whatever else your have in your bags.
- Since the padding is not TOO bulky, it minimises the space it would take up in your bag.
Drawstring
- Although the sleeve has a metal closure, the metal closure itself may not hold your heavy keyboards if you accidentally overturn the sleeve or if you somehow swing your sleeve around (we know how expensive some keyboards can be so it is better to be more paranoid about dropping them).
- Drawstrings are made out of paracords which are known for its strength. They were once used for parachuting and as military tools.
- Because I know the drawstrings will keep my keyboards in place, I often place my keyboards in each of the sleeves and throw all the sleeves in a huge Ikea bag and go for keyboard meetups. I don’t have to worry about the keyboards potentially coming out if the magnetic closure comes undone.
Magnetic Closure
- Drawstrings are not the perfect closure because they sometimes leave a “gap” at the top when the fabric bundle up. We added a flap with magnetic closure to close the gap to avoid any debris falling into the sleeve.
- The sleeve is designed such that the magnetic flap covers the exterior pocket as well. This would help keep your accessories from falling out your pocket.

- Every sleeve comes with a huge exterior pocket to keep your thumbdrives / mouse / cables / handphone / pens / macropad (my Megalodon Triple Knob Macropad fits in the exterior pocket of the M and L size sleeves).
- All in one carry solution so every part has their own space.
FABRICS
- From time to time, we have READY STOCK sleeves wherein we chose the fabric combinations ourselves. This is for those who don’t have the time / are lazy to choose their fabrics.
- We also have CUSTOM SLOTS open from time to time so that you can choose from our library of fabrics and build your own sleeve to match your keyboards / bags.
SIZES
- Our sleeves come in 4 sizes (XS, S, M and L).
- DO NOT FORGET TO ACCOUNT FOR THE THICKNESS OF YOUR KEYBOARD WHEN MEASURING.
- Take note that although the sleeve may be longer than the keyboard, when the drawstring is pulled, the height of the sleeve will reduce. You can adjust how tight you draw your drawstring. Should your keyboard be the same height as the sleeve, you can use the flap closure and not the drawstring.

XS size sleeve is made to fit 30 – 50% keyboards. It fits my DROP + OLKB Planck 40% keyboard (as seen in pictures) nicely with much wiggle room. Do however check the measurement of your keyboard before purchasing.

S

S size sleeve is made to fit 60% keyboards. It is specifically made to fit Singakbd Unikorn which is a 60% board -with some wiggle room. It also fits Wilba.tech Salvation keyboard. Do check the measurement of your keyboard before purchasing.

M

M size sleeve is made to fit 65-68% keyboards and Alice layout keyboards. It fits the Bear 65 v2 (Jackylab), Thermal SEQ2 (Rama Works), Akko Alice Plus and Typ 65+ with wiggle room. Do check the measurement of your keyboard before purchasing.

L

L size sleeve is made to fit keyboards up to TKL / 75% size. It fits the Bear 65 v2 (Jackylab), Thermal SEQ2 (Rama Works), Akko Alice Plus, Typ 65+, Piggy 60% (Jackylab), Portico 75 and GMMK Pro with wiggle room. Do check the measurement of your keyboard before purchasing.

HANDLE
- Each bag comes with a handle at the top so that you can easily pull your sleeve out of your bag.
- The straps are sewed securely (multiple times) for extra durability. However, we note that some keyboards can be extremely heavy so we do not recommend holding your sleeves by the handle for a pro-longed period of time.
- I hang my sleeves up on wall hooks when not in use.
WASH
& CARE
- Machine washable (on gentle cycle).
- Place in laundry net during machine wash.
- Do not bleach.
- Iron on medium low heat.
- If wash with hands, do not scrub on 1 spot excessively as this may damage the fabric.
- To dry, pull the inner layer out for faster drying time.
PACKAGING
&
SHIPPING
- We try our best to provide affordable shipping prices. Therefore, our keyboard sleeves have minimal packaging which may not look as “aesthetically” pleasing. This is so that we can fit the sleeves in the prepaid local post office packages. We will have to fold up the sleeves during packaging (otherwise it would not fit the package).
- Do lightly iron when you receive the sleeve.
